The coffee is washed (meaning the fruit is removed before drying, producing a cleaner, more defined cup), then dried carefully rather than quickly.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003ch2\u003eAbout Detour\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eDetour started in 2009 out of a back alleyway in Dundas, Ontario. The founding idea was simple: coffee should be fun, whether that means sourcing it, roasting it, or drinking it. They roast on a Loring Coffee Roaster, a machine that uses convection heat rather than direct flame, which produces a clean, even roast profile and makes the coffee easier to extract consistently at home.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eTheir sourcing is built around three priorities: relationships with producers, traceability through the supply chain, and quality in the final cup.
