94 Celcius was founded in 2017 in Sainte-Julie, Quebec by Marc-Alexandre Emond-Boisjoly, who holds a bachelor's degree in biochemistry and a master's in pharmacology. That scientific background shapes how the roastery operates: every coffee is roasted on a Probat P12 using high-precision thermal probes, with detailed roasting curves tracked to keep results consistent batch to batch.

Marc-Alexandre built the roastery around relationships with producers known for pushing processing boundaries. 94 Celcius works closely with names like Diego Samuel Bermúdez, Wilton Benitez, Pepe Jijon, and Sebastian Ramirez, all recognized for experimental fermentation and processing work. The company looks for two things when choosing partners: standout flavor first, then shared values around transparency and fair treatment of producers.
