About the Coffee

Primavera is a Guatemalan coffee exporter built around long-term relationships with producers. They place agronomists directly in the field and employ two certified Q-Processing professionals who work one-on-one with farmers on post-harvest handling. The goal is sustained improvement year over year, not a one-time transaction. Producers are involved in the key decisions that shape their coffee, from how they manage their land to how they process their harvest.

This lot brings together 15 producers from San Antonio Huista in the Huehuetenango region, farming at 1,550 to 1,650 meters above sea level. Each producer's individual harvest is too small to stand on its own as a microlot, but the coffees share a similar quality profile. Primavera combines lots scoring 84 and 85 points to create a regional blend that remains fully traceable to the farm level. The varieties grown across these farms are Bourbon, Caturra, and Catuai, all processed using the washed method, where the fruit is removed from the seed before drying.

The structure of this lot also allows Primavera to pay a higher price to participating farmers than they would receive selling smaller volumes independently. That premium goes back into farm infrastructure, wet mills, and the kind of incremental improvements that add up to better coffee over time. It's a practical arrangement that works for everyone involved.
