Daterra Coffee Project in Brazil has focused on sustainability and social development since the 1980s, long before it became trendy. Their land is divided into 216 mini-farms of 5-15 hectares, each harvested individually when cherries reach optimal ripeness.
They developed their own sorting technology over 10 years to ensure perfect cherry selection. This "Pearl" coffee is a peaberry - where only one round seed develops instead of two - creating the nutty, sweet profile classic to Brazilian coffee.
The Daterra Tree_llion Project aims to plant one trillion trees to combat climate change and support reforestation in coffee-growing regions.
