Jarama

Kivubelt's "People's Farm" coffee comes from 500+ smallholder farmers around the Jarama washing station in Rwanda's Nyamasheke District. After establishing their own estates, Kivubelt acquired local washing stations to work with farmers who grow coffee at even higher elevations.

Founded in 2011 by Furaha Umwizey, Kivubelt operates as both a coffee farm and training center, employing 400+ people during harvest and offering quality premiums to participating families.

The "People's Farm" name reflects how small farmers working together can match large estates, producing coffee from volcanic soils near Lake Kivu that create Rwanda's signature jammy flavor profile.
