Kirinyaga
Kirinyaga
Small farms across the southern slopes of Mount Kenya grow this AA-grade coffee, the largest bean size in Kenya at over 7.2 mm. Workers hand-sort each delivery to remove damaged fruit before pulping. The coffee ferments overnight, washes clean, and then dries on raised beds for 10-15 days.
Larger beans roast more evenly, which is why this coffee develops those intense fruit flavors. The combination of meticulous processing and bean size makes Kirinyaga consistently distinctive.
