SWP Decaf: Peru

This Peruvian decaf comes from Fairtrade cooperatives in Cajamarca with notes of dark chocolate and hazelnut in a smooth, well-rounded profile.

The Swiss Water Process removes 99.9% of caffeine without chemical solvents. Beans are soaked in caffeine-free green coffee extract that pulls out the caffeine while preserving flavor compounds.

The caffeine-saturated extract is filtered through activated charcoal to remove caffeine, then reused for the next batch - a more expensive but chemical-free method that delivers clean decaf coffee.
